Witnessing the life and legacy of Lionel James Keys, my father, has been an encouragement to many. Through his health journey with congestive heart failure, I witnessed his fight and testimony from survival to his passing. Drawing from his faith, fight and encouragement through his journey inspired me to advocate and inspire others and led me to develop the Chiari Smiles Foundation.

Chiari Smiles Foundation was established in 2019 and was inspired by life-changing events. Founded by Dawn Michaela, who is surviving Chiari (Kee-ar-ree) Malformation, which is an incurable brain disease that consists in herniation of the lower part of the brtain and cerebellum where brain tissue extends downward into the spinal cord. This creates pressure on the brain causing severe chronic discomfort and other disabling symptoms.

To bring awareness to Chiari Malformation, we host annual awareness walks, mental health webinars, provide care packages and the letters of inspiration initiative.

Chiari Smiles Foundation offers a positive place of support, inspiration and prayers to those caring for and living with Chiari.

Bethel Praise & Worship Center (BPWC) is a nondenominational church established in May of 1987 under Heartbeat Ministries, Inc. The mission of BPWC is, "Building God's Kingdom One Soul at a Time." We encourage spiritual growth and development and our commitment is to offer educational tools and resources to aid in spiritual growth and maturity.

All persons are welcomed to fellowship/join with BPWC in any of our Worship Opportunities. Due to COVID-19, there are no in-person services at this time until further notice.
