Star of Hope Women and Family Shelter
Yet again, HBM, INC. -- another Gold Star Day! Betty Keys with her loaded car of baby wipes and diapers met me at Star of Hope Women and Family Center to complete our second delivery of baby supplies on Tuesday, Aug. 31st. The staff met us and gladly received the baby supplies of a large box of baby wipes, plus 5 large cases of assorted size baby diapers. The shelter is experiencing an increase of families and are also preparing for an even further increase due to Hurricane Ida so these baby supplies will be distributed quickly. As a result, they anticipate needing any and all types of help from baby supplies, bottled water, and other items.
Supplies that are constantly needed are listed on the Star of Hope website. Also, there is an account set up with Amazon to purchase requested items and Amazon will send directly to the Star Of Hope as another means to provide support.
There are also volunteer opportunities to join their homeless team that goes into areas where the homeless congregate in the Houston to distribute food, clothing, personal care items, etc. Please refer to their website for more details on all of these supportive and volunteer opportunities

Fort Bend Family Promise
Another Gold Star day for HBM, Inc. and the "Project Happy Baby" to Fort Bend Family Promise! It was another great success! So that’s “2” Gold Stars for HBM’s Project Calendar and looking forward to many more! Betty Keys and I delivered 7 cases of diapers and wipes on a very sunny, toasty, warm Friday afternoon to Family Promise. We delivered these items to their Administrative office in Missouri City and they gladly accepted these supplies. I was informed that due to COVID, these families were housed in a hotel. However, once COVID was minimized, the shelter would reopen.
That is the sweet and short report about our help to Fort Bend Family Promise and my HBM, Inc. friends, this is exactly what God desires! It is a very satisfying and fulfilling time for me. Thanks for the opportunity to be a team member!!!

Star of Hope Women and Family Shelter

HBM, Inc., we have placed a Gold Star on our calendar for June 28, 2021 as a Victory Day for Heartbeat Ministry's first official outreach event!!! We are so excited and proud to share the great experience of helping the community via the Star of Hope Women and Family Shelter!!! Neither heavy rain or Highway 288's craziness of detours and traffic did not stop the special delivery of baby supplies this day! Betty and Dawn Keys and I delivered the initial baby supplies of wipes, diapers, and pull-ups to the safe and loving hands of the Volunteer Liaison, at the Star of Hope Women's Shelter and their staff. They gladly accepted the 7 boxes and were very grateful, it was almost like a Christmas cheer! Our delivery was especially timely as their supply of large sized pull-ups was extremely low--so talk about "good timing," this was truly a God-Thing! Yup!! The Volunteer Liaison further explained their Donation Drop-Off Site at 2575 Reed Road is open Monday thru Friday from 9 to 4 for clothing, shoes, food and baby supplies.

Overall, this was a great example of a simple idea that flourished to a successful and worthy project that would make God Proud of Heartbeat Ministries, Inc. After all, my friends, isn't this what it's all about--Make God Proud! God is a Blessing to us--then We Bless Others
